FAQ
What is ElimiNOX Eco™
Designed specifically as a fuel conditioner, it is highly effective at preventing water contamination in all stored diesel fuels, heavy plant and machinery, including generators and on-road and off-road transport.
What makes ElimiNOX Eco™ unique
Other fuel conditioners in the market are mainly fuel demulsifiers that leave water at the bottom of the fuel tank, however they don’t solve the key issue, water. Excess water in the fuel system contributes to organism growth, corrosion and the build-up of deposits throughout the fuel system. Once ElimiNOX Eco™ removes the water from the fuel, the fuel integrity remains intact as does the lubricity and viscosity. Eliminox incorporates the Technology of The SulNox Group Plc
What is the mix ratio
ElimiNOX Eco™ is mixed with diesel at a 2000:1 ratio and 1000:1 for petrol. It can be added directly into the fuel tank or storage tank before filling and mixes automatically.
What is Diesel Bug
Diesel bug is contamination of diesel fuel by microbes such as bacteria and fungi. Water can get into diesel fuel as a result of condensation, rainwater penetration or adsorption from the air — modern biodiesel is especially hygroscopic. The presence of water then encourages microbial growth which either occurs at the interface between the oil and water or on the tank walls, depending on whether the microbes need oxygen. Fuel companies agree that if left untreated fuel will remain reliable for just 6–12 months. After which fuel contamination (such as the diesel bug) begins to appear. While industrial engine manufacturers recommend a fuel conditioning programme to ensure the reliability of fuel. ElimiNOX Eco™ actually prevents diesel bug by scavenging and emulsifying any free water.
What is HFO
Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) is a category of fuel oils of a tar-like consistency. Also known as bunker fuel, or residual fuel oil, HFO is the result or remnant from the distillation and cracking process of petroleum. For this reason, HFO is contaminated with several different compounds including aromatics, sulfur and nitrogen, making emission upon combustion more polluting compared to other fuel oils. HFO is predominantly used as a fuel source for marine vessel propulsion due to its relatively low cost compared to cleaner fuel sources such as distillates. The use and carriage of HFO on-board vessels presents several environmental concerns, namely the risk of oil spill and the emission of toxic compounds and particulates including black carbon.
What is HVO
HVO fuel is one of the cleanest fuels on the market. It’s a second-generation, synthetic, advanced renewable diesel alternative that eliminates up to 90% of net CO2 and significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate matter (PM) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions.
As a paraffinic, renewable fuel, HVO can be used as a drop-in alternative to fossil diesel, meeting EN 15940 standards and Fuel Quality Directive 2009/30/EC Annex II. There’s no need to modify existing infrastructure – you can simply top up and go.

What is lubricity
Lubricity is the measure of the reduction in friction and or wear by a lubricant. The study of lubrication and wear mechanisms is called tribology. The lubricity of a substance is not a material property, and cannot be measured directly. Tests are performed to quantify a lubricant's performance for a specific system. This is often done by determining how much wear is caused to a surface by a given wear-inducing object in a given amount of time. Other factors such as surface size, temperature, and pressure are also specified. For two fluids with the same viscosity, the one that results in a smaller wear scar is considered to have higher lubricity. For this reason, lubricity is also termed a substance's anti-wear property. When added to diesel ElimiNOX Eco™ has been proven to increase lubricity by 30%.
How do I work out the dosage - Diesel
Convert the fuel tank volume or volume of fuel added from Litres to millilitres and then halve the number. So if adding 36L of diesel the volume of fuel conditioner would be 18ml. (dosage ratio = 1 part fuel conditioner to 2000 parts fuel).
How do I work out the dosage - Gasoline
Convert the fuel tank volume or volume of fuel added from Litres to millilitres. So if adding 36L of petrol the volume of fuel conditioner would be 36ml. (dosage ratio = 1 part fuel conditioner to 1000 parts fuel).
